Chocolate-Raspberry Oatmeal

Here is what I had for breakfast this morning. Normally I am not a chocolate fan.... except about 1 week out of the month (damn  hormones!). It is pouring down rain - so my run is out, I mean it is POURING - I am not feeling my best (damn hormones!), and this just seemed to fit the bill. Chocolate for breakfast you ask? Don't judge me! Besides, the way I make this little delight, it is low in fat, sugar, and is actually good for you! 






INGREDIENTS:

1 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
1/4 Cup Raspberries
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 Tb. Cocoa Powder
2 Tb. Almond Milk (or milk of choice)
Stevia, Honey or Agave to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Bring water to boil and add oats. Cook at a gentle boil for about 5 minutes, or until oats are softened and water is cooked down a bit. Remove from heat, add raspberries, cover with a lid and let sit for about 5 minutes to finish thickening up. Add remaining ingredients and enjoy chocolate for breakfast: guilt free!!
